I’m particularly proud of this photo. From my spot on the lifeguard chair, it looks pretty sweet. The writing was all the kids’ idea. They were worried that having NCA (which stands for North Country Adventure, the name of their trip) would put the photo out of the running from being in The Catalog next year. That’s what these kids get really excited about, beyond the paparazzi effect of having all of these photographers. The Catalog is what we use to motivate them, to get them excited as a group to be featured together on a spread. Whenever I show up, a few of them inquire, “Are you here to put us in The Catalog?” The leaders get pretty into it as well.
